Avatar Kinect has launched today and is available via Xbox Live Marketplace for download.  The newest edition of additions to the Xbox Live dashboard is available to all Xbox Live members, Gold & Silver, until September 8th.  The module can be downloaded via the Kinect Fun Labs area.  Originally announced back at CES, Avatar Kinect is bringing a new style of social interaction to Xbox Live members.

The program gives you total control of your avatar in a wide assortment of environments.  You can interact with your friends, in real time, while controlling your avatar.  Avatar Kinect also adopts a new technology for the motion controller which allows it to capture facial expressions to enhance the realism even more.  You can record and save videos made with the Avatar Kinect program and post it to popular social networks such as Facebook.
