Dave (Batista) Bautista has announced on his official Twitter account that he has been cast in Blade Runner 2 as his Hollywood career continues to rise.

The former WWE Superstar made the announcement via a video he posted on Twitter. He said: “Hey guys, Dave Bautista here. As speculated, I’m proud, privileged and honored to announce that I’m joining the cast of the new Blade Runner. Blade Runner 2 (fist pumps) directed by the amazing Denis Villeneuve. I’m very excited for this project and very grateful to bring this news to you myself. I couldn’t be more proud, it’s a dream come true. You’ve heard it here first and it’s official. Blade Runner 2! Peace

Bautista got his first big break in Hollywood starring in Guardians of the Galaxy playing the role of Drax the Destroyer. The success of that movie made him a star that he didn’t need to wrestle for the WWE anymore.

He was most recently in the latest James Bond movie SPECTRE. He played an almost mute henchman named Mr Hinx. He is currently in the middle of filming Guardians of the Galaxy 2 which comes out next year.

Blade Runner 2 also stars Harrison Ford, Robin Wright and Ryan Gosling. It will be released in 2018 which is 36 years after the original came out in 1982.
