Battlefield 2042 may be getting a surprise, at least on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, since Twitter user PlayStation Game Size, known for revealing details regarding data, leaks, and news about many PlayStation updates, revealed that they have fond data regarding the beta of the upcoming title of EA’s first-person-shooter franchise in the PS Store’s backend.

Also, according to the leaker, in another post, they do not believe that the beta will be exclusive to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 and will, in the end, be available on all platforms.

You can check out the thread, in which the leaker revealed their findings below, courtesy of PlayStation Game Size’s Twitter profile:

So that you can have an estimate, the data regarding Call of Duty’s Vanguard ongoing Alpha test, featuring its new Champion Hill mode, surfaced a few weeks before its official announcement. On that subject, you can still play and test out Vanguard’s upcoming multiplayer, and experience its new mode for free until August 29, 2021, on both PS4 and PS5.

You can also check out the official overview of Battlefield 42 below, as it is featured on the game’s official site:

”Battlefield 2042 marks the return to the iconic all-out warfare of the franchise. Adapt and overcome dynamically-changing battlegrounds with the help of your squad and a cutting-edge arsenal. With support for 128 players*, prepare for unprecedented scale on vast environments. Take on massive experiences, from updated multiplayer modes like Conquest and Breakthrough to the all-new Battlefield Hazard Zone.”

Battlefield 42 is set to be released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PCs on October 22, 2021.
