With Battlefield V, DICE will be making soldiers more customizable than ever before.  Players will be able to unlock gear that they can take on to the battlefield to give them a unique look.  Lars Gustavsson and other developers on Battlefield V revealed the new system that DICE says is “pretty simple.”

Any game mode that you are playing will give the player the opportunity to unlock this gear.  None of this stuff will give players an unfair advantage and appears to be strictly cosmetic, and the developers say that there is no pay to win mechanics as we saw in Star Wars Battlefront 2.

Also revealed was the fact that there would be no premium pass for the game.  Battlefield V players will not pay for maps or modes with this game.  DICE says that they want a game where players stay together in their journey through WW2 and removing this barrier will help with that.

It was revealed today that Battlefield V would be set during World War 2 and will arrive in October.
