The Ben Affleck Batman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is reportedly so great, Warner Bros. executives are wanting him to appear in his own standalone trilogy in the long term.

According to a report from Den of Greek, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was screened privately to Warner Bros. executives. They loved the movie so much, they gave it a standing ovation afterwards.

What’s even more interesting is that the executives fell in love with the Ben Affleck Batman in particular. They are even calling him the “definitive Batman” and will be basing all of their movies based around that character alone.

This news is still a rumor at this point, although it would be interesting if it turns out to be true. The Ben Affleck Batman had millions of doubters when it was first announced two years ago. If he truly is impressive, people will have to retract their statements of the actor being a bad choice.

A standalone Batman movie is reportedly going to be released in the near future with Ben Affleck set to star, write and direct. Another two movies could be in the pipeline if the actor manages to impress the general movie going audience as well.

The rest of us won’t know how good it is until Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice releases on March 25th, 2016.
