Former Gears of War designer, Cliff Bleszinski, has praised the story of Gears of War 4 so far. Current developer, The Coalition, gave him a taste of what is to come in the new game coming out later this year.
Bleszinski tweeted: “Just got off the phone with a friend who is doing some writing on the next Gears game. Sounds like we will all be very pleased with it. :)”
He then tweeted that he is in full support of The Coalition and the work they are doing for Gears of War 4. He is rooting the team on so that they make the game as good as the original titles that Bleszinski himself worked on.
Gears of War 4 was first announced and revealed at E3 2015. It centers around some new characters and it is the first in the series not to be developed by Epic Games. Epic Games sold the IP to Microsoft who tagged the Rod Fergusson-led studio (Gears of War, Bioshock: Infinite), The Coalition, to develop the new game.
The Coalition developed Gears of War: Ultimate Edition which was well received last year. It’s safe to say the series is in good hands so far. With the support of Mr Bleszinski, at least we know the story might be good at least.
