Jens Bergensten and the Mojang team have recently made some huge announcements in regards to the colossal sales of both the PC and mobile versions of Minecraft.
Making the announcement via Twitter, Jens revealed that:  “Minecraft (PC) passed 18 million sold copies”. Whilst this figure is impressive, the pocket version has blown it out of the water, with the Mojang team confirming it has now been purchased over 30 million times.
Many gamers were worried about the game when Minecraft was sold to Microsoft, believing that they would slow development and ruin the product in return for more merchandising opportunities. Thankfully it seems that these doubts are not coming to fruition and that development is still in progress. As we reported last week name changes will soon be possible once a month, with the feature being released on February 4th.
To show their thanks to the many fans of Minecraft: Pocket Edition, Mojang will be holding a live questions and answers session. The questions will be chosen prior to the event and will then be answered later this week. Currently, Mojang plan to broadcast the Q&A session on their Twitch channel on either Thursday or Friday. Make sure you have submitted your Pocket Edition questions before then!
