New Dark Knight Rises Trailer

The Dark Knight Rises is just mere months away now, due to hit theaters this July.  The third movie in Chistopher Nolan era, inspiration has been drawn from a number of places for its story.  Knightfall which debuted the villian Bane;  The Dark Knight Returns in which Batman returns to Gotham City after a ten-year absence; and No Man’s Land, which depicts Gotham being overrun by gangs.  Each are considered some of the best in the long running series of Batman comics.

Following the death of District Attorney Harvey Dent, Batman assumes responsibility for Dent’s crimes to protect Dent’s reputation and is subsequently hunted by the Gotham City Police Department. Eight years after the events of The Dark Knight, Batman returns to Gotham, where he encounters the mysterious Selina Kyle while stopping the villain Bane’s plans to destroy the city
