Capcom’s iconic demon hunter is extending his presence on the current platforms, as the company has announced today that PS4, Xbox One, and PC will receive a version of the Devil May Cry HD Collection released for PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2012, which includes remastered versions of the original Devil May Cry, Devil May Cry 2, and Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition. It’s the perfect opportunity to celebrate the origins of the action series while we wait for the rumored announcement of the fifth entry, or even the crossover with Bayonetta that creator Hideki Kamiya wants to make.
Fans won’t have to wait too long to complete their library either, as the Collection will be released in both physical and digital formats on March 2018. The games present an even more polished look, and they are confirmed to run at 60 FPS, making them the perfect choice for a fan of thrilling and furious action games.
Devil May Cry is the story of Dante, a half human – half demon who takes care of demonic creatures that make their way to Earth. As with some of the greatest epic tales, complicated family relationships take a big portion of the story, with Dante’s relation with his brother Vergil being part of many entries. This HD collection contains both the original introduction to the series with the first game, and the prequel story featuring a younger Dante with Devil May Cry 3.
Those who own a PS4, Xbox One or PC can already play the remastered versions of Devil May Cry 4 and DmC, the 2013 reboot developed by Ninja Theory.
Devil May Cry HD Collection will launch on PS4, Xbox One and PC on March March 13, 2018. Check out images in Capcom’s Blog.
