Last night saw Bethesda accidentally leak that Dishonored 2 would be coming, though most knew this announcement would happen. That is why it was no surprise at all when Bethesda just unveiled Dishonored 2 officially during their first annual E3 conference.

The original Dishonored saw you taking control of an assassin in a very different style game to other games in the genre. It may not have been the biggest game upon release, but it had a pretty healthy fanbase due to getting solid reception.

Now Arkane Studios is back again with Dishonored 2 and it looks absolutely better than ever. Current-gen consoles allow the follow-up to take everything to new heights. The trailer shown off during Bethesda’s conference gives us a taste of what we can expect from the story, as “an otherworldly usurper” takes control of the throne.

This game gives players the opportunity to play as two different characters, including the new female playable character Emily Kaldwin, who was a part of the original as the heir to the throne. This is definitely something different from the original and will allow much more possibilities in the game.

The trailer for Dishonored 2 isn’t out yet, but as soon as Bethesda uploads it, you can count on finding it in the area below and I’m sure plenty more info will come out this week.

Update: Trailer is below.
