Rockstar Games has been one of the more active developers in bringing its older titles to the PlayStation 4 and now it looks like it is at again, with the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) rating PlayStation 4 versions of Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne, and Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition.
This is just the latest effort by Rockstar to bolster its lineup on the PlayStation 4 (and current-gen consoles in general). Just a week ago, it announced that L.A. Noire would be coming to the PlayStation 4 and then there’s Red Dead Redemption II which had a new trailer released just yesterday. Of course, there’s titles that already exist on the PS4 like Grand Theft Auto V and The Warriors.
Back on the subject of the previously mentioned four titles, it appears they will just be PS2-on-PlayStation 4 titles as there’s no mention of anything special added to them. That said, their presence on the PlayStation 4 will definitely be welcome among those who haven’t had a chance to play them before or simply want to revisit them. Liberty City Stories came out in 2005, Vice City Stories in 2006, Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne in 2003 and Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition in 2005.
Unfortunately, a release date has yet to be confirmed so we’ll have to wait until either Rockstar Games or Sony offers an official press release.
