Rockstar promised something big today and they delivered with a brand new Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer that shows off tons of new details about the game. Story details, gameplay footage, and much, much more can be found in the trailer below.
Set for release in Spring 2018, Red Dead Redemption 2 has been one of the most highly anticipated titles of the last few years. Rockstar’s take on the western genre garnered tons of praise the first time around, and has built up an even bigger following in the intervening years.
Rockstar’s signature open world formula just works wonders with the Western, taking players back in time and making them truly feel like a cowboy of old. This new game looks to do the same with updated graphics and likely a larger world to explore. The new trailer shows a lot of the story beats that we can expect from the game, though it’s not overly spoilery, so it’s worth a look.
According to the description, it looks like we’re in for a prequel for RDR2, saying “the story of outlaw Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang as they rob, fight and steal their way across the vast and rugged heart of America in order to survive.”
