Fable 2 and Fable 3 were already available via Xbox One Backwards Compatibility, but today Microsoft finishes off the series with the addition of Fable Anniversary and Fable 2 Pub Games. These two games mark just the latest additions to the Xbox One Backwards Compatibility list, which has grown by leaps and bounds since its debut two years ago. Microsoft has made an effort to convert the biggest of Xbox 360’s games before, and now that the Fable series is complete fans can enjoy every moment on their Xbox One.
Fable Anniversary will probably be most fans favorite new addition. The game is an HD upgrade of the original Xbox release that began the franchise. While the first title was seen by many as disappointing due to the lofty promises of its creator, the final product was a fun, deep, and charming RPG that quickly became a smash hit. Playing it today might be a different experience, but back in 2004 was really something fresh and new.
Pub Games is a smaller affair, just taking out a specific part of Fable 2 and letting gamers enjoy it as a standalone release. It was sort of a pre-release thing for fans to enjoy, but it still lets you play three minigames as much as you’d like.
