Much like Mark Hamill tweeted out a few days ago, filming for Star Wars: Episode 8 is coming to an end soon. The actors that play Finn and C3-PO have finished filming already.

John Boyega posted on Instagram a simple message that just said “Done!” Mark Hamill said filming stops on July 22nd, so it’s possible Boyega already did all of his scenes for Finn. The rest of the days might be focusing on other characters.

Anthony Daniels who plays C3-PO also had his last day on the set of Star Wars: Episode 8. He tweeted out the following message: “Sad yesterday. I wrapped on Ep VIII. Thanks to ALL the team especially David & Joe, Kathy & Ram, Jamie & of course RIAN. I have loved it. XX

Some people have jumped to conclusions that these two characters die already. This isn’t the case as movies don’t shoot scenes chronologically all of the time. It’s just that these two actors have done all of their scenes already. Maybe Rey gets more screen-time since she’s out training with Luke Skywalker in the new movie.

Star Wars: Episode 8 comes out on December 15th, 2017. We may get some small news about the movie later this month during the Star Wars Celebration Europe event.
