(Update: Ultimate Custom Night is now available, as of June 27, 2018)
Lately, Scott Cawthon has been working on an ultimate Custom Night Mode for Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria Simulator, the sixth entry in the Five Nights at Freddy’s series. Cawthon has revealed a fifty character roster and has begun showing off the mode’s new office on his website. Now, the latest information that Cawthon gives us is a tentative release date for the mode.
Cawthon stated in a recent Steam post that he expects to be working on Custom Night Mode for a while. He explains how he has to test the functionality of the office and then test the functionality of all fifty characters, a process that he expects to take a long time. Due to this, he has placed the tentative release date of Custom Night Mode as August 8, which is also the fourth anniversary of the first Five Nights at Freddy’s game. Cawthon also states that he plans to put some kind of a progress bar on his website in the near future so fans will know how far into the process he is.
Even though the release date is set for August, Cawthon is no stranger to releasing content early if he finishes earlier than expected. In 2016, Cawthon marked Five Nights at Freddy’s 4‘s release date as Halloween, but then the game ended up releasing in July, three months early. That won’t necessarily be the case with this Custom Night Mode, but it’s something to keep in mind.
