You no longer have to pre-order Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare to play the beta on Xbox One. Activision has changed its mind and now the beta is open to all.
The Call of Duty Twitter page announced: “The #IWBeta is NOW OPEN for all PS4 & Xbox One players! Download the Beta and play #InfiniteWarfare now through 10AM PT on Monday, Oct. 24. All #IWBeta players will also get this bonus Beta Calling Card in #InfiniteWarfare for participating.”
Opening the beta to Xbox One players means the player population will be very high. This is a good test for Infinity Ward to see how good the servers are going to hold up. The beta is also available for PS4 owners, although Activision already announced that it was open for them this weekend.
Sadly, PC owners have to wait until Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is actually out this November in order to play the game. There’s no beta of any kind planned for PC players.
If you want to download the beta, you can do so now on PSNÂ and via the Xbox Live Store. The Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare beta is 17.6GB on PS4 and 18.82GB on Xbox One.
