Gal Gadot Could Have Been Faora Instead Of Wonder Woman

Gal Gadot may not have been cast as Wonder Woman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice if she landed a role in Man of Steel instead.

Gal Gadot was recently interviewed by Israeli website Xnet (via Batman News) where she admitted she got an offer to be a villain in Man of Steel. However, she had to turn the role down because she was pregnant at the time.

The female villain role in Man of Steel was the character of Faora played by Antje Traue. If she got the part in Man of Steel, she may not have been Wonder Woman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

You could say that Gadot was lucky in missing the part of Faora. Wonder Woman is a much bigger and more substantial role. Not to mention this leads to more movies like Justice League and her own standalone movie.

It would have been interesting to see who Warner Bros. would have cast as Wonder Woman if Gal Gadot took the Faora role. Maybe Antje Traue could have been cast. Although the other front-runners were Olga Kurylenko and Élodie Yung.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice releases from March 25th, 2016. It marks the first time Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman are all in a live action movie.
