Gal Gadot may not look old in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but the Wonder Woman character apparently is.
As reported by Heroic Hollywood (via ComicBookMovie), the Gal Gadot Wonder Woman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is really old. The report says the character will be “hundreds of years old”. It’s safe to say the character is obviously not a normal human being like Batman.
The fact that the Gal Gadot Wonder Woman is centuries old will be interesting for the character’s solo movie. A solo Wonder Woman movie is still on schedule to come out in 2017. An origin story set in the past is something we don’t really see in modern comic book movies. There’s a lot that can be explored if they decide to go this route.
The New 52 origin for the Wonder Woman character says she’s the daughter of Zeus. This makes her a half-God kind of like how Hercules is. It will be interesting if Zack Snyder follows the same story as in the new comic books. It would explain perfectly why the Gal Gadot Wonder Woman character is older than everyone else in the DC Universe.
