GTA Online severs were down earlier but now fans will be happy to know that the severs are back up after a long downtime.

After an eight hour downtime the GTA Online severs are now up after maintenance on the cloud servers for Rockstar Social Club and both platforms. The news comes directly from the Rockstar Support page where they announced the return to full capacity of the service.

The downtime was in preparation for the impending next-gen console launch of Grand Theft Auto V and subsequently GTA Online. The Rockstar Social Club website and features were down not just for GTA Online but other Rockstar titles as well.

Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online will be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 18th and it was recently announced that those who carry over their GTA Online character from current-gen iterations will earn rewards.
