This shouldn’t come as a shock to anyone, but it has been confirmed that you can play as an Elite in Halo 2: Anniversary’s six remastered multiplayer maps. An image tweeted by @textosterone has revealed an early build of the Elite selection screen, which shows off four distinct variations. Given that this picture was taken from an early build, this may not be representative of the final product. But I feel that we are safe in assuming that this is what we can expect to see when The Master Chief Collection releases on November 11th.

For those that remember sitting down with Halo 2 back in 2004 on the original Xbox, the addition of Elites as a multiplayer character option was a big change from the different colored Spartans that ran the battlefields in the first game. However, the Elites in Halo 2: Anniversary are a far cry from their decade old counterparts. 343 Industries has decided to bring the aesthetic design of the Elite closer to their updated appearance in 2012’s Halo 4, as you can see in the above tweet.

What is your take on the enhanced armor set of Halo 2: Anniversary’s Elites? Leave a comment letting us know if you are happy with the new design or if you would have preferred that the developer had kept it closer to the original.
