It appears that Warner Bros. will be announcing a new Hitman game in the days ahead. What started as a tweet from WB Games has unraveled into something for Hitman fans to get excited about in this week leading up to E3 2018.
Warner Bros tweeted that they have a big announcement coming on Thursday June 7th, at which point people started digging around the source code of the WB Games website to uncover a logo for Hitman 2. While that evidence has been removed, there have also been a couple of other curious tweets from developers at IO and from the official Hitman Twitter account that pretty much solidify the rumor of a new Hitman game.
We won’t need to wait long to find out what Warner Bros & IO Interactive have cooking on the Hitman front. With the leak of the Hitman 2 logo, the odds of sequel to one of 2016’s best games are very likely.
It wasn’t long ago that we were worried about the future of the Hitman franchise. After Square Enix abandoned IO, Warner Bros stepped in to become the publisher for their games and the first of which already arrived earlier this year in Hitman: Defintive Edition.
