If you are one of the unfortunate that lost their data in a reset bug during Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 3 Multiplayer beta, you won’t be getting your stats back. The glitch put players back to level one and lost all the perks and items that they had earned thus far in the beta. Naughty Dog still isn’t sure what exactly caused the issue, but better that it happen in a beta than it does this November when the game launches at retail.
If you were concerned whether your efforts toward unlocking in-game content will go unrewarded you are in luck. Naughty Dog issued a statement directed squarely at this delemma and it looks like you’re safe.
“The GOOD news is that your progress towards those rewards has NOT been lost – we still have all of your detailed play history by game stored safely and ALL games you have played in the past and are playing right now WILL be counted towards your overall progress,” Naughty Dog reassured players.
“The BAD news is that we won’t be able to update your profile back to your current level, cash and unlocks. Unfortunately, that means all affected players will not be able to check their progress towards the requirements for the Beta rewards.”
Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception launches exclusively for the PlayStation 3 this November.
