‘I’m In It For The Fight’: Kamala Harris Tells Charlamagne She’s Not Done With Politics, But There’s A Catch

Well, this wasn't the announcement we expected.

Former Vice President Kamala Harris has said that she plans to stay in politics, but she is focusing on helping other Democrats win instead of planning her own next move. She spoke with Charlamagne tha God on the Breakfast Club while visiting Birmingham, Alabama. During the talk, she discussed her new book 107 Days and spoke strongly against the Trump administration.

Harris was on a book tour around the country when she sat down for this interview. The book talks about her short presidential campaign. When Charlamagne asked if she thinks the political system can be fixed from the inside, Harris gave an honest answer. She said she may have been too hopeful about how strong the system would be. She also said the Trump administration is causing damage that will take a lot of work to fix.

According to Fox News, when Charlamagne asked what she plans to do next after writing her book, Harris was clear about staying involved in politics. “It is my nature to serve. I’m not going to stop serving,” she said. She also told him she is “in it for the fight.” But she made it clear that right now, she wants to help other Democrats win elections instead of thinking about her own political future.

Harris Is Keeping Her Choices Open For Now

Harris did not talk about running for president again or going after any other job. Instead, she said she will work on elections that are coming up soon. She pointed out the governor races in New Jersey and Virginia as important contests to watch. She also mentioned the midterm elections. It looks like her plan is to help other people in her party win first before making any decisions about herself.

Harris said Democrats need to win in many different ways, not just elections. She talked about fighting against false information as a big part of the work ahead. She also said it is important to help Americans trust each other again. This shows she thinks her job is about more than just campaigns and voting, especially as constitutional debates continue at the Supreme Court level.

The former vice president did not say no to running for office again in the future. Her words about staying in the fight and continuing to serve mean she could do many different things later on. While Harris has previously hinted at a potential 2028 presidential bid, she seems happy for now to work in the background and help Democrats get ready for elections that are happening soon.

Harris also said she feels let down by how the political system has handled recent problems. She thinks the current administration is causing destruction that will need serious work to clean up.
