For the first time in the series, Assassin’s Creed will feature two protagonists. Twins Jacob and Evie Fryer will parade the streets of London, taking out its many street gangs, when Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate launches on October 23rd for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

In the interim, Ubisoft have released a new trailer, providing some hints as to the motivations of Jacob and Evie. The twin assassins talk about the corruption that’s prevalent in 19th century London and the need to fight for justice, as well as for each other.

We got our first in-depth look at Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate at E3, where Ubisoft showcased the all-new zipline, revamped melee combat and the dangerous backstreets of London.

Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate will mark the ninth release in the series since Assassin’s Creed debuted in 2007. Its rise to prominence was staggering, but we think there’s plenty Ubisoft can do to innovate and fix the series’ shortcomings.
