October is here and so is Halloween Horrors: Monster Masquerade, the brand new seasonal event for Killing Floor 2. In this celebration of all things violent and ghoulish, players get a new map to explore, new weapons to shoot, and new enemies to test them out on. The master of the mansion has been kind enough to open up their own for this ghoulish bash, it would be a shame for all his preparations to go to waste.
Monster Masquerade’s classic horror inspired maps are filled with all manner of tricks and traps for players to either use or fall prey to, depending on how closely they’re watching their surroundings. Use them well, and competent player might just make it through the waves upon waves of fiends out for their blood. Of course, players won’t have to rely on traps alone to make it through the night; the master of ceremonies has also prepared some powerful, “devilish” weapons for those up to the task. These include the HMTech-501 Medic Rifle, FN FAL, and MKV Rifle.
In addition to these new weapons, players can also earn a bevy of new horror-themed skins and accessories. Chances are that they won’t help one blend in with the enemy horde, but at least one can look cool while eliminating a horde of nosferatu. It’s also possible that some of these costumes come with unique abilities, but these are unconfirmed aside from a brief tease seen at the end of the trailer above. Halloween Horrors: Monster Masquerade is free for all Killing Floor 2 players, so fans can jump in and find out for themselves if they don’t feel like waiting.
