Little Big Planet 2 is still a couple of weeks away but is getting some much deserved love from the critics thus far. Â Starting off 2011 with a bang, Little Big Planet 2 is already scoring in the mid nineties on metacritic from sites large and small. Â With some sites such as Joystiq and Game Pro rating the game a perfect 100 out of 100.
“Yes, it’s an incredible platformer, categorically and exponentially improved over its predecessor, but there’s a much larger picture that might take you a few evenings of madcap, freeform architecture to discover. LittleBigPlanet 2 isn’t just a great platformer, it’s a veritable celebration of creativity.” – Joystiq
“Whether you’re looking for a solo diversion or online camaraderie, personal expression, or community inclusion, there’s just no good reason whatsoever not to dive in and explore the many wild worlds of LittleBigPlanet 2.” – Gamepro
It’s lowest score an 85, which came from Inc Gamers
“It’s amusing and playful but Little Big Planet 2’s clunky controls still ruin what could have been a wonderfully whimsical experience. Catered more to the creator than the platformer, Sack Boy is still a delight to play with.”
It’s looks like it’s safe to say that Little Big Planet 2 is a must buy in 2011 and with scores like those it’s going to be the game to beat going forward as far as review scores go.
