Mass Effect 3 is a Single Player Game

A moderator on the Bioware forums recently squashed the speculation that Mass Effect 3 would include multiplayer.

“Now that BioWare has officially announced Mass Effect 3 with their press release yesterday, I’m going back to my age-old thread closer here: Mass Effect 3 is a single-player game.”

There’s no telling what kind of authority this forum moderator has to make this type of claim, but we’re just putting it out there as fact, because that’s what we do.

In Mass Effect 3, The Earth is burning. Striking from beyond known space, a race of terrifying machines have begun their destruction of the human race. As Commander Shepard, an Alliance Marine, your only hope for saving mankind is to rally the civilizations of the galaxy and launch one final mission to take back the Earth. Mass Effect 3 will be available in 2011.
