We recently were teased about a release of a launch trailer for BioWare’s Mass Effect: Andromeda, and now the trailer has been released today. The trailer shows off lots of action while also setting up the game’s story, which you can check out at the bottom of this post.
While there’s no actual gameplay to be seen, there’s no denying that the cinematics on display here look great. The visuals are fantastic, and it’s all set to the song “Human” by Rag’n’Bone Man that goes really well with it. This definitely won’t make the wait for the game any easier, but thankfully we won’t have to wait much longer.
Andromeda will play similarly to how previous games in the series did, though obviously scaled to a much bigger level. Exploration, discovery and crafting are all major components of the game, though there are also combat profiles and squads to go along with all-new weapons and skills. BioWare previously said that “it’s bigger than any of the three [games in the original trilogy]. In terms of the footprint, for example, it’s gigantic. One planet can be the size of Dragon Age: Inquisition as a whole. Not all of them, but some of them. But it gives you an idea of scale.”
“In Mass Effect: Andromeda, you are the Pathfinder – the ultimate adventurer in a vast, unexplored galaxy on a mission to find a new home for humanity. You’ll visit untamed worlds, make lasting relationships with new companions, and face some of the most dangerous challenges the Andromeda galaxy has to offer.”
Mass Effect: Andromeda will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on March 21st. The game will be playable at PAX East this weekend, where a lot more information regarding gameplay details are bound to emerge. Check out the launch trailer below.
