Microsoft has announced that it will be releasing a small new system update for the Xbox One very soon. It appears it won’t bring in any new features, but it will address a few known issues.
Microsoft’s Mike Ybarra tweeted: “In the next week or so you’ll see a minor update to the system software in Xbox One. Small fixes, nothing major”
It’s possible Microsoft is ironing out some of the annoying issues that Xbox Live has been experiencing lately. Xbox Live social features and more have been patchy recently.
The company did release a few updates to preview members earlier this month. It didn’t offer anything major so Microsoft may be just making the console more stable before it releases a bigger update later this year.
Microsoft hinted earlier this month that a bigger update for the Xbox One will be due out in late May or early June. This could include major new features that owners have been requesting for a long time.
Background music is expected to be available in the Summer according to Phil Spencer while other features can include more compatibility with Windows 10.
