Microsoft claims to have had it’s biggest sales week in Xbox history riding the momentum of Black Friday. The company has released a statement concerning their sales numbers for last week, where they claim to have sold nearly 1 million (960K) Xbox 360 consoles in the week. Alongside the massive Xbox 360 sales, Microsoft also said that they sold 750,000 Kinect sensors in both the bundled and standalone variety.

Microsoft commented on their sales for the week, “Xbox 360 should deliver its eleventh straight month as the number one console in the US. With a robust holiday portfolio and the new Xbox LIVE dashboard going live on Dec. 6, we expect holiday momentum to continue, driving Xbox 360 to finish the year as the number one console in the U.S.”

Sony also cited successful sales for Black Friday, though they did not release an official tally.
