Mojang has no plans on bringing their popular Minecraft title to the PlayStation Vita.  The open-world “adventure title”  seems like a sure fire fit for Sony’s soon to be released handheld, but Mojang has assured that they are not bringing it to Vita.  An odd choice considering the game has been ported to nearly every other platform, including PC, Mac, Android, iOS and Xbox 360.

It’s not from a stressed business relationship with Sony however, Mojang worked with the company in releasing Minecraft: Pocket Edition exclusively on the company’s Xperia Play gaming phone.

Mojang’s business developer told Eurogamer in a recent interview of the news, but did allude to the possibility of future Mojang titles possibly arriving on the PS Vita. Up next for the developer, Scrolls, which Kaplan said is “definitely coming for touch screens”.  Whether that means it will be coming to Vita or not, Kaplan did not confirm or deny.
