This weekend, PlayStation Experience 2017 has been taking place in Anaheim, California. Among many trailers and panels was a panel for The Last of Us Part II which consisted of actors Troy Baker, Ashley Johnson, Laura Bailey, Victoria Grace and Ian Alexander, as well as writer Halley Gross and writer and director Neil Druckmann. The whole panel was very reluctant to give much new information, but a few things were confirmed.

During the panel, moderator Hannah Hart was able to get a little bit of new info from Druckmann, who confirmed a fan theory that a large chunk of The Last of Us Part II will take place in Seattle, Washington. It was also confirmed that the new characters Yara and Lev, who were introduced in the game’s new trailer that was unveiled at Paris Games Week, are siblings and that Yara is sixteen years old, while Lev is thirteen. Druckmann also revealed that Gross wrote in a pregnancy, though it’s obviously not clear which character is pregnant or what the larger context of that pregnancy is yet.

Druckmann also stated that the game is maybe about 50-60% done at this point. Probably the most exciting news that was revealed, however, was Druckmann’s announcement at the end of the panel that new game footage will be shown at E3 2018, which is scheduled to take place from June 12 through June 14 in Los Angeles, California.
