Microsoft has announced that the next Xbox One Backwards compatibility games will be announced later today.

The announcement was made on Major Nelson’s Twitter account. The announcement for the next backwards compatibility games will be revealed on his official website as well as Xbox Wire. You will find out what Xbox 360 games you can now play on the Xbox One.

The first batch of Xbox 360 games that are playable were all announced on November 12th. There are 104 games playable, but this number will soon grow even higher as time goes by.

Microsoft will be making the announcements on a monthly basis, so stay tuned for more games being playable every four weeks or thereabouts. Microsoft does not have an exact time schedule, but every month should be adding more games that you can play on the Xbox One console.

Bear in mind, it’s not possible for every Xbox 360 game to be backwards compatible. The hard part that Microsoft needs to overcome is getting permission from the publishers and developers. They have also ruled out Xbox 360 Kinect exclusives being backwards compatible too.

Stay tuned for later today to see what other games you can get to play on the Xbox One. Backwards compatibility has been one of the most popular features of the console to date.
