Nintendo of America President, Reggie Fils-Aime, has pretty much confirmed that the Nintendo NX is a new home console.

Nintendo announced that the Nintendo NX will be a new platform the company has been working on. Many people didn’t know what the NX would be.

Over the weeks, people thought the Nintendo NX was going to be a new portable console. There was also a rumor it would be an Android console of some kind.

Reggie Fils-Aime has pretty much put all the rumors to rest in a new interview with WSJ.

He said: “We’ve also said publicly that we are already hard at work on our next home console and that’s another element we’ll be talking about much later.”.

This is good news for Nintendo fans. The Nintendo NX will be a legit new home console and not something cheap like an Android device or tablet.

It was revealed a few days ago that a legit new Metroid Prime game might be released for the Nintendo NX console. A proper Metroid Prime game is what fans want to see. People hated the 3DS Federation Force game that was just announced.

We should hear more news about the Nintendo NX console in 2016. The company is choosing the stay quiet on it in 2015.
