No Man’s Sky finally has a release date and price, with the game hitting PS4 and PC on June 21st for $60, according to an announcement by developer Hello Games. No Man’s Sky has pretty much been on every PS4 gamer’s wish list since it was announced a couple of years ago. The game promises endless exploration in a massive universe, with almost limitless combinations of worlds and animals to discover.
“We’ve been a little quiet since we showed the game last year at E3, and it’s because we’ve been heads down and hard at work on development,” said Hello Games’ Sean Murray. “It’s been a hectic but really exciting time for the team. Finishing a game is incredibly hard but lovely to watch as the pieces fall into place. In No Man’s Sky you can trade, fight, explore, and survive in a boundless, computer-generated universe.”
The game was originally announced as a digital only game, but with the growing expectations from gamers, the developer has decided to also release it as a full-blown retail disc release. Fans can pick it up in either form on PS4 when No Man’s Sky launches on June 21st. The PC version should hit at the same time, though the developer hasn’t totally confirmed that as of yet.
