Just now, at Paris Games Week, Sony and developer Hello Games just revealed a firm release date for the highly anticipated game No Man’s Sky. Popping up at the end of a new trailer shown on stage, No Man’s Sky will be be released in June 2016, with a specific date likely coming closer to launch.
No Man’s Sky is one of the many currently in-production space simulation games. Players will be able to explore a truly massive universe, landing on planets, discovering new animals, and interacting with other humans as they fly around the galaxy. The game has made many big promises over the years, with its procedurally generated planets and landscapes hinting at endless gameplay possibilities.
Along with these promises came a lot of skepticism and worry. Would the game live up to the high expectations that Hello Games has set? The biggest item lending credence to the skeptics concerns was the complete lack of a release date for the game. Without one the trailers looked like cool experiences that we might never actually get our hands on.
Now, with the release date firmly set at June 2016, No Man’s Sky is that much closer to reality. Get ready to explore the universe when No Man’s Sky hits PS4 in June 2016, with a PC release also planned.
