Prior to E3 2014, we got the much anticipated reveal of Mortal Kombat X by Netherrealm Studios. During E3 itself, we learned much more about the game, such as getting a glimpse at the first actual gameplay footage and the unveiling of a few new characters. We also brought you the official character art for the newcomer D’Vorah. Thanks to the official Facebook page for Mortal Kombat X, we now also images of three other newcomers, as well as the above new in-game image.

The first newcomer, which is also seen above in battle that we learned about during the E3 trailer, is known as Ferra/Torr. This new combatant utilizes a unique two-person combat mechanic that should be a lot of fun in the final game.

Our next competitor has a last name that should sound very familiar, Cage, Cassie Cage to be more exact. As the daughter of Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade, Cassie is bound to be ready to fight, though it appears she utilizes a gun with her moveset if this art is any indication.

Careful boys, she’s a real ball breaker!

Mortal-Kombat-X-Kotal-Kahn-760x428

Kotal Kahn may share part of a name with one of the big baddies of the series, but nothing indicates there is a connection quite yet. Taking what appears to be an Aztec design, Kotal Kahn looks like he could be one of the more intriguing additions to the game.

Mortal Kombat X is set to release sometime in 2015, so we are likely to see plenty more content in the coming year, complete with other new fighters.
