Oscar Issac (Poe Dameron) revealed in a new interview what it’s been like being cast in Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens.
French website, Tele-Loisirs, had a chance to interview Oscar Issac where he spoke about being a part of the Star Wars experience.
Issac first admitted that he got a call from J.J. Abrams and he met him in Paris. Isaac didn’t know what role he was being offered at the time. However, he said it was wonderful working with Abrams and he was glad the director listened to his own ideas about how Poe Dameron should be portrayed.
He also admitted that Poe Dameron could be the comic relief of Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens. He said the character will bring a “lot of humor to the film” He didn’t reveal many other details other than he’s an X-Wing pilot which is what we already know.
Issac then described it felt like a dream filming the movie for the first few days. He couldn’t believe he was there with the likes of Chewbacca and Harrison Ford. He also said Carrie Fisher is one of the funniest people he has ever met.
His favorite part of filming was actually being able to bring his Uncle on the Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens set. His Uncle even got a small part in the film being an extra.
Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens releases from December 18th in North America.
