Overwatch One Year Anniversary Celebration Starting May 23rd

by | @AttackFanboy | on May 17, 2017

The first year of Overwatch is just about complete.  In a week’s time the game will have been out for a full year and  in that time we’ve seen a number of new heroes added to the game, new maps, and constant updating and balancing of the game.

From May 23rd through June 12 Overwatch will be holding an anniversary party of sorts.  What that should mean for Overwatch players is that there are going to be some new skins to be earned, though the video that was just released for the one year anniversary announcement did not offer any teases at what they could be.

The good news is that there will be plenty of time to play and earn as the even will last almost three weeks.  And during this time, the playerbase may reach one it’s highest points as the game is going to be free on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC from May 26th through 29th. The free weekend will offer all of the game’s heroes, maps, and a variety of modes as well as the ability to earn loot boxes.

You can check out this video below, which pretty much just recaps a year of Overwatch:
