Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare DLC will be free, according to PopCap Games. Gary Clay, a marketer at PopCap says that the first round of DLC for the shooter is due out in a few weeks, and will be free of charge.

“Yes DLC will be free,” said Clay via Twitter. And about those microtransactions? Clay says that PopCap has yet to announce any plans for them at this time, eventhough the game looks as if it was built to support them.
