If you’re interested in Injustice 2, NeatherRealm Studios’ and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment’s latest DC-themed fighting game, but still aren’t sure whether you want to buy the full game then here’s something to look forward to: Injustice 2 will be free this weekend for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Specifically, the announcement reveals that this promotion will run from tomorrow, Dec. 14, through next Monday, Dec. 18, giving players four whole days and the entirety of the weekend to make up their minds about the game.
The free version of the game seeks to give prospective buyers a free taste of the game without giving them the whole package. As such, they can expect to have access to every character in the base roster (except for Braniac), certain DLC characters via the single player Multiverse mode and the first three chapters of the game’s story mode. In addition, every single online and multiplayer mode will be available, allowing players to go head-to-head against others from around the world.
To top everything off, players who like Injustice 2 will be able to pick up the game with a discount during the Free Trial period at participating retailers.
Injustice 2 was released in May and has been chugging along ever since. Though it lacks the mass appeal of more popular fighting games like Street Fighter V, it has managed to work its way into the hearts of casual players, hardcore players and comic fans alike, thanks to its solid gameplay and diverse roster. It also helps that NetherRealm Studios has put a lot of love into the game, steadily releasing new characters and content since the game first launched. The latest character to be added to the roster was Atom and it won’t be too long until Enchantress, along with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles join him as part of the Fighter Pack #3 DLC set later down the road.
