Red Dead Redemption 2 will be getting yet another update later this summer which will introduce specialist roles in Red Dead Online.  There will be three unique roles that people can play in Red Dead Online: The Bounty Hunter, Trader, and Collector.  Red Dead Online specialist roles look to cater to multiple play styles, giving players tasks that align with how they want to enjoy the open world of Red Dead Online.  Each of these distinct roles will come with unique abilities that add to the specialist role.
Red Dead Online players won’t need to pick just one role. All three of the Specialist Roles can be progressed simultaneously.
Below, you’ll find explanations of how the three new specialist roles will play in Red Dead Online.
Red Dead Online Bounty Hunter
For players who are looking for a little more action, they can become a licensed Bounty Hunter. The Bounty Hunter can track down targets and capture or kill them. While the role hasn’t been completely explained, it sounds like you’ll be tracking down both human players with high bounties on their heads and computer controlled characters.
The Bounty Hunter in Red Dead Online will be able to unlock special items like a reinforced lasso to help in capturing their targets, as well as tracking skills, other items, and upgrades.
Red Dead Online Trader
The Trader in Red Dead Online sounds like a role that will be suited towards those looking to use their camp as a more capitalistic venture. You’ll be able to collect more materials and valuable things like furs and skins which you can sell. The trader will have a different set of upgrades, which includes upgrades to the camp, a guard dog for your camp, as well as hunting wagons for a big hunt.
Red Dead Online Collector
The Collector role in Red Dead Online will be focused on finding valuables. These include things like lost jewelry and other treasures that can be sold as valuable single pieces or be collected as even more valuable sets. The Collector will get assistance in tracking down these treasures by getting an upgraded binoculars, a lantern for your horse, and a metal detector.
There hasn’t been exact date for the release of this update, but Rockstar says that the update will be arriving “in the weeks ahead.” Alongside the specialist roles, updates to Red Dead Online will include changes to the controls, more loot found in the world, the ability to change character appearance and more.
