A UK retailer may have revealed the official release date for the Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens Blu-ray. The date suggests that the Blu-ray might be out a few weeks later in the UK compared to the USA.
JediNews spotted an advertisement in the UK and it showed that the Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens Blu-ray will be coming out on April 18th, 2016. This is much later than the April 5th, 2016 release date that has been floating around with other online listings.
It’s possible the USA release date is April 5th, 2016 while the UK won’t get it until April 18th, 2016. However, Disney has yet to reveal an official release date for the Blu-ray so categorize this UK listing as a rumor for now.
The only concrete information we can take away from this is that the release date for the Blu-ray will be in the month of April. A recent JB Hi Fi flyer in New Zealand announced that the Blu-ray will be out in April, but did not specify on a specific release date.
When Disney makes an official announcement, we will let you know. Hopefully the April 5th, 2016 date sticks as that’s not as long to wait as April 18th, 2016.
