CI Games has announced that Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 has been delayed until 2017. The game had originally been set to launch within the second half of 2016, though apparently the extra time needed will be used to ensure that the game is unique.
Here’s what CI Games CEO Marek Tyminski had to say:
“Shortly before completion of the work, we found that we were our target, although close, however, would still need some time to ensure that SNIPER GHOST WARRIOR 3 is unique. We are pleased and welcome the patience and support of the waiting players. There are only a few months. And the wait is definitely worth it. ”
The game takes place in an Eastern European country that has the protagonist alone, while also being caught in the middle of a new Cold War between Russia and the US. You’ll have to take out many targets from afar, while also negotiating with warring factions in order to complete your missing and come out of it alive.
Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on January 27th, 2017.
