Sony offering discount on PS4 games already purchased on PS3

Sony has recently announced that they will be making it a lot easier to transition into the next generation, while still staying current with your favorite games. With the PlayStation 4 due to arrive in mid-November, the console will arrive just after most of the big holiday releases. That means many players will have already bought some of the titles that arrive on both the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.

However, if those same players want to get a taste of the next-generation, they can purchase a new copy of the PlayStation 4 version at a “significantly discounted price”. Sony announced this promotion for games like Call of Duty: Ghosts, Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, Battlefield 4, and Watch Dogs to name a few.

Sony did not offer any concrete details about what the exact pricing would be, but it’s sounding like these will be digital downloads on the PlayStation Network so the deal could be very sweet indeed. The PlayStation 4 was recently given a release date, and the console is coming on November 15th, 2013 in North America. Two weeks later the console will arrive in Europe and other markets.
