Sony To Compensate Users When PSN Status Was Offline

As you may have known already, PSN was down for several hours yesterday. Sony will be compensating users for the troubles caused when the network was down.

The official PlayStation Twitter page announced: “Thanks for your patience today – stay tuned for details on PS Plus, PS Now, and video rental extensions.

This basically means if you have a current subscription on PlayStation, you may get a few more day’s grace due to the outage that occurred yesterday.

The PSN was okay most of the time during Christmas day. Some people had issues, but the whole system wasn’t down. That changed yesterday when everything went offline for eight to ten hours or so. Steam was the one having serious issues during Christmas.

It’s good to know things are back up and running again for now. Sony should have beefed up security after the many attacks it suffered in 2014 due to a certain group.

Xbox Live was okay for most of yesterday so they’re safe for now. One has to wonder if the services will be attacked once again like they did in 2014. There are a lot of groups out there that want to take down the services just for fun…
