Nintendo keeps adding new content to Splatoon via free DLC, and though some of the items might have been on the disc originally, spacing it all out like this has given players great reasons to jump back into the game each week. That continues today with the addition of a new weapon fashioned after a paintbrush. The Inkbrush will arrive inside the weapon shop today for free (at least in real world money), where players can give it a try and find out if it works for them. Whether it does or not, it looks really cool.
The Inkbrush comes to Splatoon today at 7 PM PT. It’s similar to rollers, & comes with Sprinklers and Inkstrikes.
The Inkbrush acts in a similar fashion to a Roller, which is a favorite of many online players for its ability to completely cover the map in ink in a short time. This version seems like it has less overall coverage, with a smaller front area for ink, but it will certainly have other attributes that will make it effective in Turf War and Splat Zones. The sub and super weapons for the new Inkbrush will be Sprinklers and the Ink Strike. That super is a definite favorite, so if you can’t find a roller that you like with it, then the Inkbrush might be perfect for you.
Splatoon is available now exclusively for Wii U. Check out our review to see whether or not it’s right for you.
