Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens is the much anticipated continuation of the Star Wars saga that is scheduled for release later this year. The original trilogy of movies are an absolute classic, but the prequels soured many on the franchise. The hype for Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens though just keeps on rising though, with one of the most important people involved with the franchise now calling it “the best.”

You may not have actually heard the name Drew Struzan before, but he is a very important piece of movie history. He is not an actor or even involved with the films themselves, but rather he is the artist of many of the most iconic movie posters over the years.

Perhaps his best work have been his line of Star Wars posters, in which his latest was just revealed for Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens at D23 last weekend. The big news were his comments that came during an interview with Movie Weekly however.

In that interview, Struzan praised the movie extensively based on already seeing part of the movie.

“I got to read the script and subsequently I’ve seen half of it and I can tell you and the fans this, Honest to god, it is far and away probably going to be THE BEST Star Wars you’ve ever seen. … Well it’s beautifully made and it’s a wonderful story.”

This could obviously just be Struzan feeling the hype for the movie, plus the fact he hasn’t seen it all, but with his association with the franchise, I would think he knows what he’s talking about. Hopefully this truly does end up being the case, because it’s going to tell one amazing movie to surpass Empire Strikes Back.
