John Boyega (Finn) admitted he literally cried the first time that he read the script for Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens.

Boyega spoke about his experience on the new Star Wars film during a new interview with GQ magazine. He admitted that he cried when he read the script. He says he’s usually “not really a big crier” so the script must have affected him deeply.

Boyega said auditioning for the role of Finn in Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens was not easy. It was over the course of seven months and he said it intense much like how it is for a show like The X Factor.

As for the role of Finn, he said the character is “quirky and charismatic and funny“. He also said Finn is his favorite character in the entire movie. He may be biased since he plays the character after all.

It’s interesting how Boyega described Finn as being funny because Oscar Issac admitted in another interview that Poe Dameron is also a funny character too. From that sounds of that, Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens will be an entertaining movie.

The Force Awakens releases in North America from December 18th, 2015. Hopefully tickets go on sale sometime next month so fans can pre-order them early.
