For Star Wars fans Battlefront 2 is easily one of the most anticipated titles of the year. Â Expected to be a much bigger undertaking for EA this game will be more than just multiplayer. Â It will feature a Star Wars campaign for fans to enjoy, and a recent interview with EA Motive has shed some light on what we can expect from the single player portion of Star Wars: Battlefront 2.
According to Mark Thompson of EA Motive in a recent interview, “The Empire just felt like a natural place to find a new voice and tell a different kind of Star Wars story.  Take off the helmet, get inside and meet the people inside the Empire… One of the big differentiators for Battlefront is that most of the time you’ll be playing as a trooper or pilot, but there are these moments where you get to become one of the iconic heroes of Star Wars.”
Electronic Arts is throwing a lot of development talent at the sequel. Â Criterion is handling space battles. DICE is working on multiplayer, while EA Motive is handling the campaign. Â One of the major complaints about the reboot of Star Wars: Battlefront was in a lack of content for the game.
It does not sound like this is going to be the same situation when the Star Wars Battlefront 2 launches later this year. Â The game is slated for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 17th.
